PS - probably best you waited TBH! I originally played it all the way through on a 2007 MacBook Pro with an X1600 GPU and it was paaaaainful!!! I then played it on a 2010 MBP with a slightly better GPU and it was paaaainful!!! Finally I played it through on a modern machine last year (with a Vega 64 + decent sized monitor) and it was beeeeautiful. They pushed a lot out of the engine and the acting is terrific (I played The Witcher 2 after it and was cringing about how cheezy the main character + more intimate scenes were in comparison). I love the skyship scene and the prison camp scene just because the pure scale of them is so epic. My only disappointment was that they created and then very quickly killed a lot of seemingly significant characters without wrapping things up.įavourite scene? I like a lot of the interactions between Likho and Kian. However, I think there's still a lot of questions left unanswered. Be interesting to see where it goes! Doesn't sound like they're actively planning a sequel/follow-up at this stage. Can't say I cried at those points (if anything I was excited about finding out who Saga was and what she'd do).īut yes, a very moving game (and music too). I definitely had a lot of positive emotions throughout the game. I pledged like $530 because TLJ saga meant to me, but their approach to communication with Kickstarter backers left a lot to be desired to put it mildly. I think it's incredibly cruel to do that in the very last game in the series. What's most infuriating for me is that they not only didn't solve a lot of mysteries from the previous games, but they introduced lots of new ones and then didn't gave answers to many of them either! Like what happened to Saga's parents, what was the deal with Queenie and so on. Anna's character was a complete disappointment. They made Likho gay for no reason, as if April hadn't suffered enough, now it turns out that even the man she dated didn't really love her as he was not straight. Setting someone on fire or killing rats wasn't fun either. The puzzles were not as creative and fun as in previous games. Use the arrow to pick the lock and go up another flight. Combine the pillow and broom and use it on the window. Continue around to the open cell and grab the pillow off the bed. They killed off beloved characters from the previous game off-screen while other important characters never appeared at all or their fates were left unknown, instead of continuing the plot of Dreamfall they wasted time going in a different direction in early "books" until they suddenly remembered in a second half of the game that they need to wrap a lot of things up, which resulted in a rushed finale. Use the key on the lock, go up the stairs, and talk to the Captain. However overall Dreamfall Chapters left a bad taste in my mouth and ruined the franchise for me.
